Today’s FlyLady tip (#5) threw me for a bit of a loop.
I’m supposed to write down all the things the “nagging, negative voices” in your head say, and then write down positive things to counteract them.
Negative voices?? What negative voices?
Now, I know full well that they don’t mean actual voices. They mean negative thoughts you have yourself.
Still, do they mean negative thoughts related to clutter? Or in general?
I don’t really think I have “nagging, negative voices” relating to clutter floating around in my head. The most negative thing I can think of at the moment is “Gee, this place is embarrassing, I should do something about it”. Even that’s not particularly negative, because I am trying to do something about it. That’s the whole point of this blog.
It makes me ask the question, though. Do you experience negative thoughts related to your clutter problem? Please share your experiences!

I am going through the BabySteps and ran into the same problem. I don’t know what to write! I googled “Flylady negative voices,” to get ideas, and that’s how I ended up here!
The best I’ve got is, “I wish this place were cleaner so I could have friends over sometimes.”
