Putting Out Your Hot Spots

I didn’t write about my FlyLady step yesterday. I had to do it a couple times, and I didn’t want to write about it until I had finished it properly.

For a few moments, I slipped back into my old habits. In order to be able to time the 2 minutes “properly” I wanted to get a timer. Which sent me scuttling around the house looking for my old egg timer. At this point, I’m not even sure I still own it because I never found it. I also never actually got around to doing the 2-minute Hot Spot because after I couldn’t find me timer I hopped online looking for a free timer program that could be set in 2 minute increments and made a sound. After that, I of course got distracted with all the other things I needed to do yesterday evening.

I’m going to try again this evening, along with today’s FlyLady step.

Even if you slip back to your old habits, don’t give up! Just get up and try again!

Hilarious. And also sad, because I didn’t find it in the least bit odd that your egg timer is not, you know, in the kitchen! O_O I have a timer, but I let my son play with it to keep him occupied (he found it after I left it laying about during my FlyLady days) so I now have no idea where it is.

Doesn’t your oven have a timer? Or what about your cell phone mine has an alarm clock and an event reminder.

D’oh! It never even occurred to me to use the oven timer!

    Thanks for the tip!
