A Few Minutes of FlyLady

It would appear I’m not so great about posting about my FlyLady exploits on time. However, it also appears I’m not so great about actually following the FlyLady steps on time. This is exactly part of why I have a such a clutter problem: that thing called “life” keeps getting in the way of my attempts to organize myself, and I keep letting it do so.

In a situation like this, it’s tempting to just shrug you shoulders and sign that you just must be “too busy” to have time to declutter. Not so!

I know it can feel overwhelming when you life is just so busy that all you do at home is grab a quick bite on your way out the door and collapse in an exhausted heap at the end of the day, all the while clutter and junk is piling up around you. *whew*

Even though I haven’t been meticulous about following my FlyLady steps everyday, I’m still putting along through them. It’s important to keep going and not to give up, even if you get behind.
I’m only on Step 10 now, which is about 1 new step every 3 days. Not as good as I had hoped, but not too bad considering that a month ago I wasn’t really doing anything to help myself declutter.
How far along are you?
If you are ahead of me in the steps, good for you! Keep going!
If you are at the same step as me, or even behind, don’t worry! Do your next step today, and feel good about yourself for the accomplishment. Don’t let guilt or disappointment discourage you from moving forward.

The FlyLady Baby steps are just that: baby steps. Babies don’t learn to walk right away; they take a couple small steps and then fall down. But they get right back up and take another step., no matter how long they sat down for

Say it with me: “I can do this! I can declutter my life!“.

Say it.
Believe it.
It is true, after all. No one said it would be easy, but we can do it, and we can do it together!

It would be a shame, and actually kind of weird, if your whole life stopped so that you can declutter. ;) Alex Shalman´s last blog ..5 Reasons To Take Moderation In Moderation and Go All Out My ComLuv Profile
