Yay! We’ve finally moved into the new house!
I’m so thoroughly exhausted right now, but it feels so good to finally be in here!!
I’ll take some more photos as we unpack, but here’s one I snapped in the basement right after we got our computers set up in the office down here:
Most of the opened boxes held various computer components which were needed to set up our computer and make sure the phone/DSL lines were working properly (they are), but nothing else has really been unpacked yet.
Except our bed sheets, pillows, and a change of clothes to wear to work tomorrow, of course! 
We don’t have any curtains up yet! Eeek! Since it’s a brand-new home, there’s no curtain rods or anything, and though we have been shopping for some for 2 days now, we haven’t found any we really like. We don’t just want to grab any ol’ ugly ones just for the sake of putting something up, we want to actual decorate our first home with things we love! We have some lovely moss green faux-suede curtains for the bedroom when we finally get some rods, though! 
Right now we have a room-divider stand in front of the bedroom window, so at least the constructions crews that are at work on all the homes around us won’t see us changing!
My husband has the rest of the week off, but I have to get back to work because we have a rigid production schedule to keep! So Josh gets the “joy” of doing lots of the unpacking while I’m at work. Oh boy!

How exciting that you guys are all moved in! I’m looking forward to the photos! Ummm, it took us a year to put up curtains in our bedroom (there were blinds up though) because it really is difficult to find ones you like sometimes or agree on. My husband finally just told me to go grab some because we were never going to agree on any, haha.
When I moved into my current apartment, I told myself I was going to hold a housewarming party as soon as I could, but I failed. I never did get it unpacked and decluttered enough to satisfy myself, and now I’ve been there for almost a year.
Are you planning to do anything like that? Do you have a strategy?

I so relate to not wanting to put things up just to have *something* up. We borrowed a couch from my parents while we hunt for one we love and it drives me crazy. Boyfriend thinks I’m truly insane when I say I’d rather have no couch than a couch I don’t like.
Blimey, congratulations! I bet that made you clear some stuff out, I’m ok when I get started, it is just getting started that stops me.
